European partnerships to support female entrepreneurship

COFACE Families Europe attended the closing event of the Erasmus+ FEM-MIAS project in Brussels. Entitled “Heading for the Future”, this is was an important moment to learn about the tools developed by the project partners to support female entrepreneurship in Europe and network with female entrepreneurs from different EU countries including Portugal, Sweden and Belgium. COFACE member Mulheres à Obra was core member of the project, representing thousands of women in Portugal including mumpreneurs.

About the project

The FEM-MIAS project (Women in Micro-businesses Ask for Sustainable Growth) is an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ programme, within the framework of action KA210-ADU – Simplified Partnerships in Adult Education. The partners were Mompreneurs (Belgium), IKF Malmö (Sweden) and Mulheres à Obra (Portugal). The project’s objective was to support and empower women entrepreneurs with businesses that have been operating for 3 or more years, to ensure the sustainable growth of their businesses.

The FEM-MIAS project aimed to create upskilling and reskilling pathways , especially focused on education and female entrepreneurship, promoting gender equality, and development of new training programmes dedicated to women owners of micro-enterprises to strengthen their sustainability.
