CODE OF CONDUCT

As a European civil society network dedicated to the values of non-discrimination, gender equality and equality and social inclusion, COFACE and its representatives must practice its values within all operations and activities, both internally within the secretariat and the network and externally when representing COFACE.

COFACE ensures that:

  1. Proper safeguards are in place to protect employees, members and anyone engaged with COFACE activities;
  2. The spaces COFACE provides for participation are inclusive and safe for both children and adults;
  3. Everyone who represents COFACE does so with professionalism and a commitment to its values;
  4. COFACE is accountable as an organisation for providing an inclusive, professional and safe space.

You can fill out the complaints form (click here) if you were a victim or witness to any behaviour that which breaches our values above. We will review the complaint and likely contact those involved in the incident or behaviours directly, before taking appropriate action. If the incident is criminal in nature, we encourage you to report it to the police.

You may choose to fill out the complaint anonymously. However, if you do not disclose your name there may be some steps that we cannot take without verifying information. If you do disclose your name and email, we may reach out to you for further clarifications and we will keep you updated about the process, while respecting confidentiality.

  • Take responsibility for keeping our spaces safe and professional.

If something goes wrong

If you see or experience something that doesn’t follow these rules, you can let us know by filling out our complaints form (click here). We will listen carefully and take action if needed. If something serious or illegal happens, we encourage you to tell the police.

You can send a complaint without giving your name, but this may limit what we can do to help. If you share your name and email, we can keep you updated while keeping everything private.
