Learning resources promoting accessibility for persons with hearing disabilities

FIAPAS (COFACE Disability member) is running the Programme for Auditory Accessibility and Access to Information and Communication for People with Hearing Impairments (2025).

Various resources have been published (in Spanish) within the framework of this Programme which are aimed at eliminating the barriers faced by deaf people.

  • An informative brochure about the Programme, which includes the support actions aimed at deaf people provided by the FIAPAS Accessibility Service and a brief description of the resources available to support hearing, information and oral communication (captioning and audio induction loops).
  • The information leaflet ‘Conoce-T’, which explains the benefits offered by hearing aids in connection with hearing support products. It also raises awareness of the important functionality of the telecoil installed in hearing aids and hearing implants, the activation of which allows auditory accessibility through the magnetic loop in any space and/or activity.
  • Flyer for the ‘Magnetic loop loan service’, which FIAPAS offers to respond to the different individual needs of hearing aid users (administrative procedures, medical consultations, procedures that require greater privacy, etc.). This service can be requested by the user themselves or by the organisation that requires the resource to provide auditory accessibility.

All these materials can be consulted and downloaded free of charge from the FIAPAS Virtual Library (https://bibliotecafiapas.es/).
