COFACE-Families Europe member organisation Pro Parents Netherlands recently took part in the TOPX Network Summit 2025, sharing their expertise during a key session on women’s health in the workplace. The Summit gathered HR, Talent, and Diversity and Inclusion leaders to explore how organisations can translate growing awareness of women’s and family health into meaningful and sustainable action.

Pro Parents contributed to the panel “Navigating Women’s Health at Work,” where speakers discussed how employers can move from broad commitments to concrete implementation. The session underscored a persistent challenge: while many organisations acknowledge the value of wellbeing, gender inclusion, and family-friendly policies, a considerable gap remains between understanding what is needed and embedding these practices into daily organisational culture.

Drawing on their extensive work with organisations across Europe, Pro Parents Netherlands highlighted the importance of strong leadership engagement, building a solid HR business case, and addressing the practical complexities of policy implementation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. They also provided valuable insights into the wider European policy environment, including GDPR, occupational health directives, and relevant ISO standards.

The panel further explored research on the Child Penalty, Daddy Bonus, and Parent Trap, demonstrating how these dynamics continue to influence women’s career paths and workplace experiences. Pro Parents showed how structured approaches, such as their ParentJourney@Work model, can help bridge the gap between intention and action, fostering more inclusive workplaces where employees and families are able to thrive.

The TOPX Network Summit sessions were held on 13 November in Leiden and on 14 November in Utrecht, bringing together inspiring voices committed to advancing women’s health and workplace equality across Europe.
