The European Parliament has adopted a report on the EU Disability Strategy post-2025. The text was adopted on 27 November 2025. It includes a chapter on families.
This year’s annual COFACE Disability platform meeting aimed to bring together COFACE members and external partners to share diverse insights and experiences related to the inclusive transition of care services for persons with disabilities. It was hosted by Unapei in Paris.
At the joint meeting of the Committees on European Affairs and Social Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament that took place in July 2022, on the policies of the European Union for Children, our member ASPE, as well as the Social Administration Research Lab of the University of West Attica presented their proposals on the content of the National Action Plan that the Greek Government is expected to submit to the European Commission regarding the implementation of the Recommendation (EU) 2021/1004 for the establishment of a European Child Guarantee.
The EU Work-life Balance Directive is the first legislative initiative that follows the launch of the European Pillar of Social Rights in 2017 and was formally adopted two years later in 2019. COFACE Families Europe expects high ambitions from the different EU institutions and national governments in the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights, as a stepping stone to develop a framework for a more social and fairer European Union.
