COFACE member FAMS launches campaign for single parent childcare access in Spain
Familias Monoparentales (FAMS), declared that single parents don’t depend on other parents, but on the services offered by the Spanish government. This relationship between single parents and government cannot work when more than 65% of single parents are looking for part-time work so they can be available for their children in the afternoons. This means reduced income to pay for childcare and the costs that come with infancy.
Supporting single parent families and children with special needs in Hungary
COFACE member, The Single Parents’ Centre (Egyszülős Központ) and the Find Yourself Association organised a joint conference on the theme of single parent families and children with special needs. The event’s main themes were the situation of these families, issues of education and work, and the related personal stories.
