COFACE Families Europe’s member organisation, the Union Nationale des Associations Familiales (Unaf), has shared its feedback on the European Commission’s new action plan designed to advance the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights.
On World Children’s Day 2023, the Spanish presidency organised an event in San Sebastián aimed at strengthening the commitment to providing school meals, building upon the foundation laid by the European Child Guarantee. COFACE Families Europe was represented at this conference by Spanish COFACE Board member, Amaia Echevarría, Director of UNAF Spain.
The president of COFACE member organisation, UNAF (the Union of Family Associations) Ascensión Iglesias Redondo, has recognised this Tuesday that the draft Family Law approved this by the Council of Ministers is “a great step forward” for “the protection and recognition of the rights of families in their diversity”, but at the same time has called for “more ambitious” measures.
