Gezinsbond’s Energy Week: practical guidance and support for families on energy efficiency.

Join the movement!

For many families, energy costs take up a significant part of the household budget, and energy-related decisions can have a considerable impact on everyday life at home. From choosing the right energy contract to investing in a more sustainable technology, families face several decisions that can affect both their expenses and living conditions. Having an energy-efficient home can also contribute to a more sustainable future for future generations.

This is what our Belgian member organisation, Gezinsbond (Family Association), focused on during its Energy Week, held from 10 to 18 October. During this week, members were invited to ask energy-related questions to seek advice on a wide range of household energy issues.

The initiative aimed to make information more accessible and understandable, helping families navigate the different options available to improve energy efficiency at home. To support this, Gezinsbond also provided an energy guide containing relevant information and practical advice to help families find answers to their questions and better understand their energy choices.

Building on this initiative, Gezinsbond organised a webinar on 22nd of October “How to Become Your Own Energy Expert”. The webinar addressed some of the most frequently asked questions about household energy, providing further information to help families better understand their options and make informed decisions.

Moreover, the organisation provides support through its Gezinslijn helpline and an online contact form, through which members can directly ask questions, seek clear guidance and find answers to a wide range of household energy concerns.
