Across Europe, more than 20% of 15-year-old students reported being frequently bullied, a phenomenon that affects students and schools irrespective of their socio-economic profile. Bullying in schools has negative impacts on the wellbeing and mental health of learners, their school’s climate and their educational outcomes.
This breakfast byte webinar is being organised in the run-up to the 2023 UNESCO international day against bullying, as a contribution to awareness-raising and capacity-building around the topic of bullying.
KMOP along with six other organizations from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, and the Netherlands, have conducted desk and field research on the subject of bullying as part of the Erasmus+ project “Like father, like son.” The initiative aims to equip parents and guardians of children aged between 10 and 15 with knowledge and tools to help them explain the various aspects of diversity to children and young people.
The “Live Without Bullying” project, created by KMOP, organisation member of COFACE Families Europe, has been selected as one of the most impactful and scalable innovations in education in the HundrED Global Collection 2023. This international distinction comes to reward the most impactful innovations that are changing the face of education in a post-Covid world.
